We come back and Greg Hamilton gives the grand introduction to Shane as he takes it all in while posing in the corner. Shane takes the mic as a “you suck!” chant starts up. Shane says Kevin Owens has the night off and he’s not allowed in the building, but Owens did give him the idea for this first-ever Town Hall. Shane says he will be happy to listen to any Superstar, as long as they are respectful. Shane says let’s get started and asks who wants to go first. Roman Reigns finally steps up to the mic for a pop. Reigns says Shane doesn’t get it – no one in this room respects him. As far as diplomacy goes, Shane can kiss Reigns’ ass. Fans pop. Shane says that’s not exactly respectful, so Reigns will be fined and Shane will deal with him later. Fans boo. Shane asks if anyone else wants to go. He calls Charlotte Flair to the mic and says she always has something to say. Flair kisses up to Shane and says from one family to another, thank you. She says the McMahon Family has been nothing but gracious to her, since the day she was born, and it makes her sick that Owens would take advantage of her kindness. Liv Morgan steps up to the mic and interrupts, asking Flair to stop being a phony for once in her life. Liv asks if there’s anything real about Flair. Flair asks who she is and if she even works here. Flair says because we’re all born with blue tongues and she didn’t even know Liv worked here until Owens belched her name out last week. Liv says it’s because of people like Flair that people like her don’t get opportunities. Shane cuts her off.

Shane calls Buddy Murphy to a mic. Buddy says Owens did mention his name last week but he doesn’t need Owens to fight his battles. Murphy says Owens should keep his name out of his mouth before it gets slapped out. Shane is impressed and says he will be talking with Buddy later and he’s no longer the best kept secret. Shane calls Apollo Crews to a mic next. Crews says everyone agrees with what Owens said last week. Zelina Vega and Andrade take a mic next. Vega doesn’t appreciate that Crews is trying to kiss up to the WWE Universe right now. Vega challenges Crews to face Andrade tonight. Andrade speaks in Spanish and yells at Crews. The guitar hits and out comes Elias to the front. He starts his promo but new SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E and Xavier Woods stop him, calling him the biggest jackass in history. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston won’t say he likes Owens, because they don’t, but he is making good points. Kofi points to how long it took him to get a WWE Title shot. Kofi says everyone on the stage has potential to do great things but Shane isn’t giving opportunities. Kofi’s mic is cut out and Shane apologizes. Shane says he thought the meeting went well, it was a great start. He thanks everyone for coming and says the first SmackDown Town Hall has concluded. Shane’s music hits and the roster starts to go to the back.

Cesaro comes down the ramp with a mic and says he has something to say. Shane says Cesaro is on RAW, and asks why he’s here. Cesaro says he’s here under the Wild Card Rule and he’s here to issue a challenge. Cesaro challenges Aleister Black to pick a fight with him, in a rematch from WWE Extreme Rules. Shane makes the match official. Shane goes on speaking when Owens suddenly appears behind him in the ring. Fans start cheering. Shane turns around and it looks like Shane botches it at first, but Owens drops him with a Stunner. Owens retreats through the crowd as fans cheer him on. Owens stops on the stairs Wthe crowd and stares at Shane as he recovers in the ring. We go to commercial.

Monday Night Raw
Location: Frank Erwin Center, Austin, Texas
Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Renee Young

It’s time for another big show as we have a combination of the go home show for Super ShowDown and apparently a guaranteed Money in the Bank cash in. After last week with Brock Lesnar not knowing the rules of the briefcase, Stephanie McMahon was angry and that means we MUST do the cash in this week. Or another bait and switch. Let’s get to it.

Here’s Roman Reigns for an opening chat but Shane McMahon cuts him off. After getting his traditional introduction, Shane talks about being a fine wine who gets better with age. He promises to hit Coast to Coast and then pin Reigns, or make him tap out for the first time in his career. The referee will tell Shane to make him let go of the triangle choke but he’s going to keep it on so Reigns’ eyes pop out as Shane is announced as the Best in the World.

Reigns tells him to shut up because he’ll powerbomb Shane through the mat at Super ShowDown. He’s tired of hearing about how great Shane is because Shane always needs help. Once Reigns gets done with Shane on Friday, he’ll beat Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds. As for right now though, the two of them are ready for Reigns. Cue the Revival to jump Reigns from behind, drawing out the Usos for the save in a preview for tonight’s six man tag. It looks like we’ll be having that match after the break.

The Usos & Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre & The Revival

Nine minutes into the show is better than the fifty five from last week. The Usos start fast with the stereo dives and we’re off to a break less than a minute in. Back with Jimmy coming in off a tag but getting caught by McIntyre, who starts pulling on the arm. Reigns breaks up a cover off a belly to belly but Dawson keeps Jimmy down in the corner.

The chinlock goes on until Jimmy powers up, only to have Wilder cut off the hot tag attempt. Back from a break with Reigns knocking McIntyre to the floor. Reigns goes after an interfering Shane though and eats a Claymore, leaving Jimmy to take the Shatter Machine on the floor. The Claymore finishes Jey at 14:22.

Result: Drew McIntyre & The Revival b. Roman Reigns & The Usos – Claymore to Jey (14:22)

Post match Reigns takes a Shatter Machine, the Claymore and a spear from Shane.

We go right to the ring as JoJo introduces RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. He comes out to a pop as the “you suck” chants start up.

Angle welcomes us to RAW. He talks about the personal problem he’s been dealing with over the past few months, which was revealed last week when he introduces his “long lost son” Jason Jordan, the newest member of the RAW roster. Angle says he was nervous at first but this has been exciting. Angle says he’s been spending time with his son over the past week and Jordan will have his first RAW match tonight. Angle says he’s given Jordan the opportunity but it’s up to him to make it happen.

Angle also talks about how Braun Strowman interrupted last week’s match to determine the SummerSlam opponent for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Angle says he has decided that Lesnar will face… the music interrupts Angle and out comes Strowman marching to the ring. Braun says the next words out of Angle’s mouth better be his name or else. Braun says he won his match at Great Balls of Fire, unlike Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns. Braun says he does not fear Lesnar, Lesnar fears Braun. Braun says he’s going to break Lesnar in half and become the next champion at SummerSlam. The music interrupts and out comes Joe next. Joe is here to make this really simple for Angle and Braun. Joe says fortunately for Braun, they haven’t crossed paths much since Joe arrived. Joe introduces himself to Braun, as the man who tamed The Beast and came within seconds of putting him to sleep. Joe says he is the man that does not fear Lesnar. And he definitely does not fear Braun.

Joe says the only reason he’s not knocking Braun’s teeth out for what he did last week is because he just stopped Reigns from losing to him for the third straight time. Joe tells Angle that we should let Braun and Roman handle their business at SummerSlam but Angle needs to give The Beast to Joe. Reigns’ music hits next and out he comes. Reigns says Joe hasn’t done anything around here, neither has Braun. Reigns says in 5 years he’s been a Tag Team Champion, a United States Champion and a three-time WWE Heavyweight Champion. Reigns says he’s won the Royal Rumble, been a part of 5 WrestleMania and 3 of those he main evented. The last one he retired The Undertaker. Reigns asks what Joe and Braun have done here. He’ll wait… that’s what he thought, they haven’t done anything yet. Reigns says now let’s show the world what he’s about to. Angle gets in between everyone. He says they all make valid points, that’s why he’s changed his mind again. Angle announces Joe vs. Reigns vs. Braun vs. Lesnar for a Fatal 4 Way at SummerSlam. Oh it’s true, it’s damn true.

Angle’s music hits and he goes to leave but Joe stops him. Joe isn’t happy. Angle says we’re done here. Joe says he’s the only man who should get a shot. Braun doesn’t care how many people are involved, all he cares about is piling bodies. Reigns tells Braun to shut up and decks him. Braun grabs them both but Joe and Reigns double team him out of the ring. The assault continues until Braun gets knocked over the barrier. Joe with a cheap shot to Reigns as they go at it now. Joe brings it into the ring. Braun ends up coming in and manhandling Reigns, tossing him. Braun goes for Joe but security hits the ring. Braun destroys them all and tosses one guy high in the air, causing him to hit the floor hard. Joe goes for Braun and applies the Coquina Clutch. The locker room empties out but they can’t get Joe to break the hold. Reigns spears Braun and Joe and a few Superstars who were in the way. The ring empties as Braun plants Reigns with a big powerslam and stands tall as his music hits.

She says the match is not going to end this way and RAW is not going to start this way. She promised a Handicap Match for the title and that’s what they’re going to get. She’s going to give Reigns time to recover but Rollins vs. Braun is made. Rollins stares Braun down as we go to commercial.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at what happened at the start of Raw when we were supposed to have our handicap match for the United States Title.

Roman Reigns is backstage with Charly Caruso and he is asked about the earlier attack and whether he is prepared for his match tonight. Roman says regardless of how he feels, he has an obligation to defend the title every night.  It does not matter how many people it is because it is one versus all.  It does not matter because he spears the guts out of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho every time and it won’t be different tonight.

Handicap Match for the WWE United States Title: Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

We go to the ring and out comes WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns first. Chris Jericho and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens are out next.

Reigns meets them at ringside and starts brawling. He beats Jericho up the ramp and puts him in the shark cage. Owens attacks from behind and Jericho gets out. They double team Reigns and send him into the side of the shark cage, knocking it off the stage. They bring Reigns to ringside and toss him into the steel steps now.

The referee checks on Reigns and officially starts the match. Owens attacks him and takes it to the corner, talking trash about how Reigns isn’t The Guy. Jericho is in next to keep Reigns down. Reigns finally catches Jericho coming off the top. Owens runs in but Reigns drops him. Reigns with a clothesline to Owens in the corner. Reigns into Jericho’s boot. Jericho misses the running bulldog. Reigns with a Samoan Drop on Jericho. Reigns unloads on Owens with clotheslines. Reigns runs into a right hand. Reigns with a big boot on Owens, sending him to the floor. Reigns goes for a Superman punch on Jericho but misses. Owens decks Reigns and Jericho hits a Lionsault for a 2 count.

Reigns goes down again. They go for the double team to put him away but Reigns counters. Reigns sends Owens to the floor. Reigns readies for a spear but Jericho kicks him. Reigns blocks a Codebreaker. Jericho blocks the powerbomb. Reigns nails a spear for a 2 count as Owens pulls Reigns to the floor. Reigns misses a Drive By to Owens. Owens superkicks him in the head. Reigns blocks a powerbomb on the floor and backdrops Owens. Reigns nails the Drive By on Owens. Reigns hits a Superman punch on Jericho as he goes for the springboard kick.

Reigns goes back into the ring but Owens holds his leg. Jericho hits a Codebreaker. Owens powerbombs Reigns onto the edge of the apron. Jericho and Owens bring Reigns back into the ring. Jericho hits a Codebreaker for the win.

Winner and New WWE United States Champion: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is in the locker room and Roman Reigns enters.Roman asks if Jericho still has car paint on his forehead.   Roman says Chris better get focused for his big match tonight. Chris says you have been getting lucky.  Things have been handed to you. Your luck will run out tonight. Roman says this might be your lucky night or you might just be doing Kevin Owens’ dirty work again.

We go to commercial.

In a match organized by Kevin Owens, the man who will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at Roadblock: End of the Line would defend his own title as Roman Reigns would defend the United States Championship against Chris Jericho. Towards the end of a hard-fought title match, Roman Reigns would connect with the Superman Punch to Chris Jericho, but the challenger manages to kick out. Reigns then sizes Jericho up for the Spear, but Jericho catches Roman with a kick to the face before Reigns blocks Jericho’s attempt at the Codebreaker, hitting Jericho with his sit-out powerbomb, but Jericho kicks out.

Jericho then looks for the Walls of Jericho, but Reigns powers out before Jericho catches the champion with the enziguiri. Jericho then locks Reigns in the Walls of Jericho, but Roman powers his way to the bottom rope, forcing the break. This is when Jericho would argue with the referee and this would allow Kevin Owens to sneak down to ringside and blast Reigns with a super kick from the outside unbeknownst to the referee and to Chris Jericho! Roman then stumbles right into a Codebreaker from Chris Jericho, but Reigns is somehow still able to kick out at the last possible second! This brings Kevin Owens onto the ring apron as Owens is livid that Reigns was able to kick out with the WWE Universal Champion shouting at the referee. Jericho then notices Owens on the ring apron, sparking an argument between Owens and Jericho as Jericho shouts at Owens that he doesn’t “need” him. Jericho even shoves Owens before telling Owens to “get out” and, as Owens walks to the back, Reigns blasts Jericho with the Spear, pinning Jericho to successfully retain the United States Title in an incredible match.

After illegally getting involved in the No Disqualification match between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship last week and helping Owens retain the WWE Universal Title again, RAW kicks off with Chris Jericho as Jericho welcomes everyone to The Highlight Reel. Jericho first introduces his guest and best friend as WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens joins Jericho on The Highlight Reel. After making fun of American Thanksgiving, the champion says that he is “thankful” for being the WWE Universal Champion and he is “thankful” for being the “face” of Monday Night RAW. Owens then says that, last but not least, he is “thankful” for his best friend Chris Jericho.

The best friends then hug before Jericho takes his turn, saying that he is “thankful” for Kevin Owens, he is “thankful” for his scarf, and he is “thankful” for Seth Rollins. Jericho then explains that Rollins proved to him that Seth is the “epitome of a stupid idiot” before saying that Owens beat Rollins “fair and square” last week. Jericho then claims that, last week, it wasn’t Chris Jericho wearing a Sin Cara mask, it was “Sin Cara wearing a Chris Jericho mask”. Owens then says that he had Seth Rollins right where he wanted him last week before the champion says that, after receiving a powerbomb on the ring apron, Seth Rollins is not medically cleared to be on RAW tonight.

This brings out United States Champion Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring to confront Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. Roman tells the best friends that Kevin Owens as the WWE Universal Champion is a “huge joke”. Owens responds by saying that the only “joke” he sees around here is Roman Reigns calling himself “the guy” before Roman says that Owens is just “a guy” who needs a lot of “help”. Reigns explains that Owens needs “help with everything” but Owens argues that he doesn’t “need” Chris Jericho. Roman then says that he disagrees, pointing out that, if it wasn’t for Chris Jericho, Owens would not be the WWE Universal Champion right now.

Jericho then intervenes, clicking his pen as he gets ready to put Roman Reigns on the List of Jericho. However, this is when Kevin Owens would shout at his best friend, telling Jericho to “shut up” before telling Reigns that he can’t talk to him like that. Owens then threatens to powerbomb Roman on the ring apron like he did to Seth Rollins last week and Roman responds by challenging Kevin Owens to a match tonight and, if he wins, then gets a shot at the WWE Universal Title at Roadblock: End of the Line! Owens then accepts the challenge, saying that Reigns is going to be on The Kevin Owens Show before Roman offers a “spoiler alert”, saying that he is going to kick Owens’ “ass” tonight.

Following a confrontation on The Highlight Reel earlier in the night, RAW would see a Champion vs. Champion match as United States Champion Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a non-title match with the stipulation that, if Roman Reigns wins, then he will get a shot at the WWE Universal Title at Roadblock: End of the Line in just under three weeks. Before the match begins, Kevin Owens would attack Roman Reigns and this would give Owens the early advantage once the match officially gets underway, sending Reigns into the steel steps on the outside. The United States Champion would repeatedly battle back with both champions trading blows throughout the match.

Later in the match, Kevin Owens would fail to put Roman Reigns away after a super kick before Owens heads to the top rope, but Reigns catches the WWE Universal Champion with a couple of right hands. Owens then fights Reigns on the top rope before Roman blasts Owens with the Superman Punch, knocking Owens out of the ring! Owens manages to pull himself to his feet and Roman sizes Owens up before catching Owens with another Superman Punch. Roman then rolls Owens back into the ring, looking for the Spear, but Owens counters with a kick only for Reigns to power through, blasting Owens with the Spear, pinning the WWE Universal Champion to earn himself a shot at the WWE Universal Title on December 18 at Roadblock: End of the Line!

After his List of Jericho was used by Kevin Owens as a weapon during the Men’s Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match between Team RAW and Team SmackDown LIVE and the contents of the list were scattered all over the ring, Chris Jericho would appear on RAW to host The Highlight Reel. Jericho says that he is calling this Highlight Reel the “autopsy to the biggest upset in Survivor Series history” when Team RAW was beaten by Team SmackDown LIVE. Jericho then says that when a “tragedy” like this takes place, people want to know “why” it happened and who is at fault. Jericho is then interrupted by his best friend and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, who used the List of Jericho as a weapon at Survivor Series. The champion says that he knows who is at blame for the loss at Survivor Series, asking for permission to use the Jeritron 6500 before showing a picture from the match at Survivor Series that shows AJ Styles nearly hitting the Styles Clash on Chris Jericho. Owens then shows him using the List of Jericho against AJ Styles, saying that he “saved” Jericho from the Styles Clash because he’s his best friend.

Chris Jericho says that, if Kevin Owens is really his best friend, then Owens would understand how important the List of Jericho is to him, saying that the list is not to be used as a “weapon”. The champion then blurts out “who cares?” at Jericho, who responds by saying “I care”, saying that the List of Jericho means everything to him. Owens argues that he “sacrificed” himself for Jericho at Survivor Series by saving him from the Styles Clash and, instead of capitalizing on it, Jericho was too preoccupied with the List of Jericho and would turn right around into the RKO from Randy Orton. Owens continues, saying that it was a “waste” of his sacrifice and it was a “waste” of their friendship! Jericho responds by saying that, if that’s how Owens really feels, then maybe they don’t have much of a friendship to begin with. Jericho continues, telling Owens that he’s “never there” to have his back before declaring that he’s finished with this conversation and he’s “finished” with Kevin Owens! The champion then turns Jericho around and, at the same time, Owens and Jericho say that it’s Roman Reigns’ fault before the two best friends hug!

Kevin Owens then says that Roman Reigns just stood there while Chris Jericho was about to get hit with the Styles Clash so he had to step in and save Jericho. The champion then also blames Seth Rollins, saying it was Rollins and Reigns fault that they lost at Survivor Series. This brings Seth Rollins out to the ring, saying that he was promised a future opportunity if he agreed to be a part of Team RAW at Survivor Series. Rollins then says that the “future is now” and the opportunity he wants is a one-on-one match against Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Title and he wants it tonight! Jericho says that they don’t believe anything Seth Rollins has to say before Rollins assures Owens that he will beat him for the title. Rollins then says that, since Owens and Jericho are “joined at the hip”, he’s going to have to go through both of them to do it!

Seth then attacks Owens and Jericho but Rollins is quickly overwhelmed by the best friends before Roman Reigns makes the save. Roman takes Jericho out at ringside before Rollins takes Owens out inside the ring. Owens then escapes the ring before Jericho enters the ring before getting taken down with the Superman Punch. This brings out RAW General Manager Mick Foley who confirms that Rollins was indeed promised a future title opportunity. The GM then announces that, in a match where both Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns are banned from ringside, Seth Rollins will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Title in a No Disqualification match and it will take place tonight!
