What happens when your yard falls smack dab in the middle of someone else’s Universe? You dig in and fight to hold your ground, much like Roman Reigns will look to do when he takes on Shane McMahon at WWE Super ShowDown in Jeddah.

Reigns made a jarring first impression during his first night on SmackDown LIVE when he straight up Superman Punched Mr. McMahon. The shocking act caught the attention of not just the WWE Universe, but also The Chairman’s son Shane. Not pleased with The Big Dog’s blatant disrespect for his father, Shane-O-Mac immediately put Roman in his crosshairs, targeting him at every chance for weeks, with some assistance from his new running buddy and the Mr. McMahon-anointed “biggest acquisition in SmackDown LIVE history,” Elias.

However, after Reigns toppled Elias at WWE Money in the Bank, Shane seemed ready to take on Reigns a little more directly. “The Best In The World” boldly challenged Reigns to a fight on Raw, a challenge The Big Dog was seemingly ready to accept, but Shane-O-Mac had different plans. Instead, Shane opted to make Reigns wait until WWE returns to Jeddah for WWE Super ShowDown on Friday, June 7.

Will Reigns protect his yard and exact the retaliation against Shane that he has been craving for months? Or will Shane-O-Mac prove that regardless of who holds claim to the yard, that it’s on his property?

Tune in when WWE Super ShowDown goes down on Friday, June 7, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

Roman Reigns is walking backstage when Elias sneaks up from behind and cracks his guitar on his back.

Elias walks out to the ring and plays an electric guitar. Elias says normally he’d be playing acoustic, but his guitar broke. Not only is he the biggest acquisition in Smackdown Live history; he’s the biggest acquisition in WWE history. Vince McMahon texted him saying he can sleep well at night knowing Elias is the future of WWE. That made him feel good until he had to come to a substandard toilet bowl like Hartford. Now that Roman Reigns is out of the way, he can perform. Elias tells the crowd to hold the applause, silence their cellphones, and shut their mouths.

Elias sings that the people of Hartford are boring and he brings the energy. No one wants to hear Roman talk. Reigns can shut his mouth because Elias just took him for a walk. Elias brings up the Whalers leaving because Hartford is a disgrace. Elias completes his song and says, “Thank you! Goodnight! I love none of you!” Corey Graves talks about how much he loved that performance. Elias goes to leave and poses on the ramp.

Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he floors Elias with a Superman Punch! Reigns gets Elias in the ring, and the match is on.

Reigns spears Elias down at the sound of the bell for the win.

Introduction: Roman Reigns & The Miz decided to visit SmackDown Live to finish what they started on Monday Night Raw. The conversation soon was interrupted when Elias & Shane wasn’t willing to wait for Money In The Bank to bring the fight. Well good things do come to those who wait, but this seemingly was a trap as Daniel Bryan & Rowan made their way out to attack Roman and Miz. The Wild Card Rule became apparent as The Usos were not up to sit back and watch the beatdown of Roman & The Miz. When all was said and done Roman, The Usos and The Miz were standing tall.

LONDON — Continuing their conversation from the night before on Raw, Roman Reigns and The Miz kicked off SmackDown LIVE in London by discussing who was going to get the first crack at Shane McMahon tonight on the blue brand, but their chat was soon re-routed when they were by Shane McMahon & Elias, who seemingly both were eager to have their WWE Money in the Bank matches against Miz and Reigns respectively to come early.

It quickly became apparent that Shane & Elias had set a trap for Reigns and Miz as Daniel Bryan & Rowan joined Shane-O-Mac and Elias and were clearly ready to pounce. However, just as the quartet attacked and began to lay into Miz & Reigns, the Wild Card Rule struck again, with The Usos dashing out to join the fray. Jimmy & Jey wiped out Shane, Elias, Bryan and Rowan with stereo dives and stood tall alongside Reigns & The A-Lister to kick off SmackDown LIVE in Uso crazy fashion.

Introduction: Roman Reigns has said from the beginning that Monday Night Raw is #HisYard. It was up until the Superstar ShakeUp, when Reigns was drafted to SmackDown. Reigns Yard would be relocated, or so we thought.

On May 4th, Reigns tweeted about showing up on May 5th’s edition of Monday Night Raw. WWE Officials quickly denied the claim, but The Big Dog does what he wants. He showed up and went face to face with The Chairman Vince McMahon. That face to face ended with a Superman Punch to McMahon.

Weeks following that encounter, the McMahon’s assembled help from Bobby Lashley and Elias to take down The Big Dog. Elias has something against The Big Dog’s actions against The McMahon’s, so at Money In The Bank, they will settle the score.

Tonight’s Monday Night Raw took place in London, England and Roman Reigns wanted to set the record straight with no one else but The Miz and MizTV. What will The Big Dog have to say and will Shane McMahon and crew spoil their plans? Check out what happened below from WWE,com.

LONDON — The news wasn’t necessarily that Roman Reigns used the Wild Card Rule to shuffle his way over to Raw for the second straight week. The news might have been that The Big Dog played the card much more cannily this time, switching from last week’s bull-in-a-China-shop strategy to a slow burn attempt on “Miz TV,” to transform The Miz from genial pitchman (though that Miz-Reigns buddy comedy does have promise) to the chair-swinging brawler who threw hands with Shane McMahon.

The ploy worked, to a point. Reigns successfully pulled out Miz’s inner fire-breather throughout the interview, but it also brought out Shane, along with two enforcers — Raw’s Bobby Lashley and SmackDown LIVE Wild Card Elias — who attacked Reigns and Miz from behind to set up a tag team match in which they mostly held the former WWE Champion at bay.

Interference from Shane at a crucial juncture handed Reigns & Miz a disqualification victory, which itself was little more than a cue for an all-out stomping from Lashley & Elias, with the former SmackDown Commissioner getting some licks in as well. Despite their numbers disadvantage, Reigns & Miz achieved a moral victory from the ashes of the post-match beatdown when Reigns took out the entire opposition with a dive over the ropes and Miz helped chase Lashley and Elias away with a steel chair. If we’re talking wins and losses, Reigns & Miz probably saw things going a bit more decisively. But the Wild Card Rule seems to be more about making a statement, and this one is going to be hard to refute.

The music for WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns plays as he makes his way to the ring.

Roman says he feels like he owes everyone an apology. For months he spoke as Roman Reigns and he said a lot of things and that he would be here every week and be a fighting champion. Roman says that is all lies. Roman says the reality is that his name is Joe and he has been living with leukemia for 11 years. Roman says that it is back. Because it is back, he cannot fulfill his role and be a fighting champion. Roman says that he will have to relinquish the Universal Championship.

Roman says he will take every prayer coming his way but he is not looking for sympathy. He has faith. Roman says he was 22 when he was diagnosed and he was able to put it in remission. Roman says he did not have the money at the time and he had a baby on the way. Roman says that WWE gave him a chance. When he finally made it to the main roster, he was put in front of all of you and you have made his dreams come true. Roman says it did not matter if you cheered him or booed him, you reacted to him. That is the most important thing and he thanks everyone.

Roman says you know the deal. Life is not fair and it is not all peaches and cream. Life can throw you a curve ball. He is going to go home and focus on his health and his family. Roman says this is not a retirement speech. After he is done whooping leukemia’s ass, he is coming back home and when he does, it will not be about winning titles and being on top. He will have a purpose. He wants to show the whole world, his family, his friends, his children, and his wife that he will swing for the fences every time. Roman says he will beat this and he will be back. You will see him very soon.

Roman puts the Universal title belt down in the center of the ring.

As Roman goes up the ramp to the stage, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins come out and they hug. Then they do the Shield fist pose.

Charly Caruso is backstage with Roman Reigns, who gets his usual boos from the crowd. She mentions the last time he faced Bobby Lashley, he lost. What will be different? Reigns says it is a night of firsts. This will be the first time he beats Bobby Lashley. Reigns doesn’t have an advocate to make excuses for him. Tonight he’s adding to his resume. Reigns is going to SummerSlam. People can talk hate and complain about him being shoved down their throats, you can either learn to like it or close your mouths. He’s going to SummerSlam to take the Universal Championship and whoop Brock Lesnar’s ass. I have no idea what Reigns is these days but I’m not sure it matters.

Roman Reigns makes his entrances to the usual negative reaction. He talks inaudible trash as he stomps to the ring. This one is for some of the marbles.

Reigns starts hitting him with clotheslines in the corner ten times.

Lashley charges for a spear, but Reigns counters with a botched Superman Punch. Reigns picks up a near fall. Reigns is feeling it now. Lashley punches him back, but Reigns comes right back with a Superman Punch for a near fall. Reigns gets to his feet and tries to get the crowd into it. Lashley then rolls out of the ring to recover. Lashley looks exhausted at ringside. Reigns goes outside and leaps for a punch, but Lashley counters into a belly-to-belly attempt. Lashley throws him into the ring, and Reigns basically lands on his head. Lashley then hits a spear for a near fall! Lashley goes back to the corner and looks for another spear but, you guessed it, Superman punch. Reigns then runs for a spear of his own but Lashley kicks him away. Reigns hits the ropes, as does Bobby, and Reigns hits the spear for the win.

WINNER: ROMAN REIGNS

Reigns celebrates his win after the match, then Lashley shakes his hand in a sign of respect. Reigns poses atop the turnbuckles. He will face Lesnar at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship.
